What does "transfer expired" mean?

On Smash, file transfers are only ephemeral, as we are different from a storage service. The files are therefore available for a limited time, determined by the sender.

The default validity period is 7 days, on the free version as well as on paid accounts.

If you are reading this page, it is probably because the transfer you wanted to access to download files is no longer available. The validity period of this transfer has expired.

As soon as the validity period has expired and the transfer has expired, the files are automatically deleted from our servers. Unfortunately, we no longer have access to them, for security reasons.

But there is still one last chance! We recommend that you contact the sender of the transfer to try to have the files resent. We are keeping our fingers crossed for you!
