My file is marked as “being modified” and I can’t send it
You’re trying to send files, but our system is displaying the message:
“Oops! File “{name}” cannot be sent because it is being modified or has been moved/deleted. Please check its status before sending.”
You’re probably surprised — maybe even a little frustrated — to see this message. Unfortunately, your transfer can’t proceed in this state.
To send your files successfully, our system needs to be able to properly locate your file so it can be uploaded to our servers and then sent to your recipient.
You’ve checked everything, but the message won’t go away?
You might still have one of the following issues to explore before your transfer can go through:
- Make sure the files you’re trying to send are stored locally on your computer, rather than on an external hard drive or USB key.
- Ensure that any programs that may have opened the files at some point are completely closed.
- Try sending different files to confirm that the issue doesn’t come from the specific file you were trying to upload.
