What does "file drop link expired" mean?

On Smash, sending large files, like receiving large files, is always ephemeral.

When a contact gives you a file drop link, the aim is for you to send them large files via this single link.

For security reasons and in line with the way Smash works, the drop link is valid for a limited, specified period.

The creator of the drop link chooses the period of validity, from 1 day to 365 days.

If, when you access the link, it has expired, then the validity period has expired and you cannot use the link to send files.

But don't worry! You can contact the person who sent you the file drop link to create a new one.
