Do recipients have to have an account to download files?

At Smash, our conditions of use are really easy and thought to make our users lives easier.

It's no coincidence that the free version of Smash is without registration. Without a username and without a password. To send files, a click on "send" is enough. No obstacle is imposed on you. 

For Smash Pro subscribers, login is necessary, but it's for the good of all: login gives you the opportunity to find all your transfers made, have a follow-up, etc. 

Recipients obviously do not need to have a Smash account to download received files. It does not matter if the sender is a Smash Free or Pro user.

The rule is the same for all recipients, no exceptions!

A simple click on "Download" is enough, that's it!
